Core Centre Values
An organisation’s fundamental values directly affect its ability to achieve and sustain high performance. At the Centre, ethical business conduct is not just part of what we do—it is at the very core of who we are and how we operate. Doing the right thing for our clients, partners and employees is paramount to our day-to-day business and its success.
In everything we do, the Centre lives by five core values:
Integrity
We have an uncompromising commitment to civility and ethical behaviour. We play by the rules and do the right thing.
Responsibility
We are accountable to our clients, our colleagues and businesses with whom we work with. If we fall short, we own up, fix the problem, and get it right the next time.
Excellence
We demand of ourselves the highest technical and professional standards. We celebrate innovation, learning, and service.
Safety
We ensure to always consider and promote safety in all of our operations. The safety of our employees and processes is our number one priority.
Capacity
We prioritise continuous capacity building internally and externally. We focus on inclusive economic growth in all business sectors in Guyana.
The Centre’s Commitment to Ethical Business
The Centre holds itself accountable to the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the U.K. Bribery Act (UKBA) across all projects and activities. The Centre’s team avoids any activity that would breach the FCPA, the UKBA, local law or international standards of ethical best practice.
Each employee is accountable for upholding the highest ethics and compliance standards while ensuring that these values remain foundational to our work. This is done by following all applicable laws, regulations and company policies as well as assisting and preventing bribery and corruption.
Safeguarding Standards
The Centre believes anyone who has contact with the organisation must be safeguarded from sexual exploitation and abuse and sexual harassment (SEAH). This includes zero-tolerance of any form of harm or abuse to clients, perpetrated by our staff or partners. Any concerns about sexual exploitation and abuse and sexual harassment relating to Centre staff or activities should be reported immediately via the ethics hotline website or email.
Operating at the highest level of safety and quality is a top priority for this Centre. The Centre is proud to maintain an activity HSSE system and has been an ISO 9001:2015 certified organisation since 2022.
